STACK BASH is a Crash Bandicoot inspired third person platformer that was made for the Stack O Bot game jam hosted by EPIC GAMES.

The game opens on a blank level that requests you adjust the audio volume for both SFX and Music to a comfortable level. The sliders for both start at 0 so I don't accidentally explode your ear drums. I believe this is a feature more games should add.

The main menu animation was done by re-posing an existing idle animation and setting everything up to trigger when the player presses play. After this, you have a short tutorial level and three additional platforming levels to complete afterwards.

To complete a level, you need to collect gears to unlock the goal. The amount of gears needed are different per level, however there are always more gears in the level than necessary. This way you have a choice on which gears are and are not worth the attempt depending on your platformer skills.

I used this game jam as an opportunity to battle test my own template for building games with full controller support from the start, which also has the ability to fully rebind your controls for both K&M and Gamepads. I've learned quite a bit about my own template during the game jam, and have several changes I need to make before I even think of a public release, but I'm very proud of how easy it was to implement these features!

Several engine scalability levels have been exposed in the options menu as well, allowing you to adjust the game's graphics to your specific needs.
